There are almost 700 games in Xbox; each one different from the other and unique in its own way. There are various methods to burn or copy them. Mentioned below are two such procedures.
Procedure 1
- The things you will require for burning Xbox 360 games on Mac are blank DVDs, and modded Xbox 360. This method is also referred to as burning Xbox games with imgburn.
- While buying DVD, it is better if you opt for RW-dual layered (DL) discs. These DVDs are expensive as compared to single layer ones, but they are the most preferred in the long run. After you are ready with all the set up, insert a blank DVD.
Software To Burn Xbox Games
- Before you proceed, make sure that all the other programs and applications are closed. After some time, you will notice that the DVD information will be displayed on the screen. If it is not displayed, then click the refresh button which will help in displaying the same. Fill in the suitable information in the required fields which are displayed.
- In dual layered DVDs, the data is divided to burn up on two separate layers. For burning Xbox games, set the layer break at 1913760. After you have set up this layer, make sure that the DVD is readable.
- The next step is to set the recording speed. It is advised to keep the recording speed low, which increases the chances of correct data being written on the blank DVD. You can set the speed to 2.4x. Even a slight mistake in the data is enough for the failure of burning the game.
- After you have completed the above settings, drag and drop the files, which you want to burn in the drop area and click the “BURN” button.
- In a few games, before you click the “BURN” button, you will have to do some patch settings which is referred to as stealth patching. Before you click the “BURN” button, you will be prompted to click the “Patch” button after which you can proceed and click the “BURN” button. Depending on the size of the files, the time required for burning may vary. On an average, one hour is required for the process to complete.
Procedure 2
- In this method, you need to install a dedicated software which will help in burning Xbox 360 games. An example of such a dedicated software is,Copy That Game. Along with the software, you will require a blank DVD or CD and a CD burner software. This method can also help you in burning Xbox 360 games to the hard drive.
- The first and foremost step is to install the software. You can follow the pop-ups that appear on the screen, while the process of installation is going on. You can also refer to the video tutorial or the text tutorial, if you have any doubt.
- After the installation is complete, the next step is to insert the game disc into the PC optical drive provided. With the help of the software installed, an image of the inserted CD is created.
- Now, insert the blank CD or DVD to which this image is to be burned. If you want to burn the image to the hard drive, you don’t need to insert the CD as you can directly burn the image.
- With this, you complete the procedure of copying Xbox games to the CD/DVD or hard drive.
I am sure the two methods mentioned above must have cleared your doubts about how to burn Xbox 360 games. So then, what are you waiting for? Just grab a CD, burn the game, and start playing.

If you want to play Microsoft Xbox games on your Mac there are two easy ways to do so. One is by running Windows on your Mac using Parallels and the other is via an app called OneCast.

Here’s an overview of both ways so you can choose the best one for you.
1. Parallels
Parallels is our favorite way to run Windows on a Mac and the latest version of Parallels 15 supports Xbox Beta from the Windows store which allows you to play Xbox games in Windows 10.
You also need an Xbox pass but you can get one for an introductory offer of $1 for the first month and then $5 per month afterwards.
Even better, you can connect your Xbox controller via Bluetooth meaning you can enjoy the full Xbox experience on your Mac.
Installing Windows on your Mac also opens up a whole world of other advantages allowing you to install PC only apps and games on macOS.
2. OneCast
OneCast allows you to stream Xbox One games to macOS in 1080p and connect an Xbox controller to your Mac via Bluetooth or USB.
OneCast is extremely easy to setup, there’s almost no lag when playing and you can setup multiple profiles for multiple Xboxes.
You can try OneCast for free although after 14 days it costs $10 to buy a license key for the full version. It’s normally $20 but it’s currently 50% off until April 1st. You can also watch OneCast in action playing NBA Live on Mac here.
Before starting, make sure that your Mac and Xbox are connected to the same internet router at home. Then follow these instructions to start streaming Xbox games to your Mac for free:
- Download the trial version of OneCast for free and open the DMG file downloaded.
- Drag the OneCast app to your Applications folder.
- Click on the OneCast icon in your dock to launch it.
- OneCast will then automatically detect your Xbox on your home network (assuming it’s switched on) and allow you to connect to it. OneCast will prompt you to login into your Xbox with your Microsoft account details. Just use the same username and password that you use to log onto your Xbox One.
- Finally you simply need to connect your Xbox One controller to your Mac which you can do by activating Bluetooth on your Mac via System Preferences. Alternatively you can also connect it via USB.

You can stream your Xbox on your Mac in either windowed mode or full screen mode. You can even connect your Mac to your Xbox away from home too although this requires a few simple manual network configuration changes which are explained in the OneCast user manual.
Although there is some lag at times, most games run pretty smoothly in 1080p using OneCast and it’s generally very impressive. If you find that lag becomes a problem, you can try changing the video quality when you launch OneCast from “Very High” to “High”, “Medium” or “Low”.
It is also a good idea to shut down all other applications while using OneCast as it’s quite GPU intensive and your Macs cooling vents will kick in pretty quickly if you’ve got lots of other applications open.
The Mac gaming scene is really hotting-up this year with NVIDIA GeForce Now already allowing Mac users to play Windows only Steam games on Mac.

Previously the only way to run Xbox games on Mac was to install Windows on Mac for free using Boot Camp but both Parallels and OneCast are definitely easier and more efficient.
