Origin Verifying Game Files Error Mac 2019 Free

  • hi @gaminglifeman if you havent yet reboot the computer and see if you can complete the install. if not pull to the desktop your my documents/ electronic arts/sims 4 folder and try again
if origin keeps misbehaving try reinstalling it, good luck
  • @ceejay402 Nothing worked. Also I don't have a Sims 4 folder because I never played Sims 4 in this computer. And the PC isn't the problem, since it did not work on my laptop as well.
  • ok are you saying reinstalling origin didnt make a difference?

@ceejay402 The error is 196613:200. What does it mean?
Edit: Just so you know, my shared computer is Windows 7 and my personal laptop is Windows 8.

  • Can anyone please help I'm getting this error message when try and download the new update
Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 Digital Deluxe to EAPatch error: unknown error 0x00002003: File write failure /Volumes/jos mac hd 2/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Data/Client/ClientDeltaBuild0.package_DiP_STAGED.eaPatchTemp [Class: 3 SysErr: -1 ErrId: 8195] at (:0) Ctx: /Volumes/jos mac hd 2/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Data/Client/ClientDeltaBuild0.package_DiP_STAGED.eaPatchTemp.
Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location.
I have changed the location to my external hard drive where I have moved the game to, but it keeps trying to put it on my old hard drive which I have partitioned bc of space.
    Many thanks

This game will play worse if you try to put it on an external hard drive. The game needs to be installed on an internal hard drive . If you have no room on an internal hard drive, your computer may not meet requirements to run the game. Most tablets/low end laptops come with very small internal hard drives are not designed to run this game . They are designed for light computer tasks and using cloud storage

I have an iMac, its been running fine. I have partitioned the hd 3 times plus have an external hd which I copied sims 4 onto it and have been running the game ok it just won't update. The location is correct in app settings and i have nearly 400gb of space. I don't understand why its trying to put the game on the original hd, which has no space and is not used.
